I'd have to say that personally, not discovering my favourite four piece would mean that I wouldn't have found out about one of the more influential and long-lasting groups to emerge from the mid 90s Britpop phenomenon. Over their long and illustrious career, from the shoegaze-esque Leisure, right through their Britpop heydays with the criminally undersold Modern Life Is Rubbish, Parklife and The Great Escape to the more alt rock offering that was their self-titled, and the experimental albums 13 and Think Tank, they've proved that they're not just stuck in one genre. After the release of Fool's Day to support Record Store Day 2010, it's clear that something new will be along sometime soon.
