Port O'Brien

Named after the Alaskan bay where lead vocalist and guitarist Van Pierszalowski's parents met, California's Port O'Brien formed in 2005 after Pierszalowski met Cambria Goodwin, with Caleb Nichols and Josh Barnhart joining soon after. The group had two releases on the Tecolote Records label: their 2005 debut When The Rain Comes and the 2006 EP Nowhere To Run (selections of both compromised 2007's The Wind And The Swell compilation) before leaving to sign with City Slang, where they released their major  debut All We Could Do Was Sing in July 2008. This was followed up by the Winter single in February 2009, with their second major, and third in total, album Threadbare following in October. I Woke Up Today is below, with downloads afterwards.
