The Hoosiers

Anglo-Swedish pop rockers The Hoosiers formed in 2003; the group's name originating from the state of Indiana, where lead vocalist and guitarist Irwin Sparkes and drummer Alfonso Sharland somehow received a football scholarship from the University of Indianapolis. They returned to the UK and met the bassist Martin Skarendahl in London, and moved to an East End flat to practise the material Sparkes and Sharland had written while in the USA. The RCA label picked the band up in 2007, with whom they released their debut single in June, Worried About Ray, which hit #5 in the UK charts. This was followed up by Goodbye Mr A on 8th October, which placed one place higher, before the album & The Trick To Life was released 2 weeks later. Post-album singles Worst Case Scenario and Cops and Robbers performed terribly compared to their pre-album singles, neither hitting the Top 20. Worried About Ray's video is below, as are the downloads.
