The Kooks

Brighton four-piece The Kooks formed in 2004, taking their name from the David Bowie song. The group signed to Virgin Records after being spotted at a local festival in 2005, with their first single, Eddie's Gun being released in July, hitting #35 in the charts. Follow-up singles Sofa Song in October, You Don't Love Me in January 2006, and Naïve in March all charted higher than Eddie's Gun, with Naïve becoming the most popular, hitting #6. The album, Inside In/Inside Out was released on the same day as Arctic Monkeys' debut, but still hit #2 in the UK Album Charts. Naïve was followed up by She Moves In Her Own Way in June and the last single Ooh La in October. The group's second album, Konk, was preceded by their most successful single to date, Always Where I Need To Be, hitting #3. Naïve's video is below, as are the downloads.
