maNga

Turkish five-piece maNga are best known outside of their home country for their appearance at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2010, where they finished second with We Could Be The Same. Formed in 2001, the group's debut self-titled from December 2004 was reissued in June 2006 as maNga+, with two extra tracks and a DVD containing all of the group's videos. One song from the album, Bir Kadın Çizeceksin, was included on the FIFA Football 2006 game, giving the group a wider global exposure. The more down-to-earth and mature follow-up Şehr-i Hüzün (City Of Sadness in English) came out on April Fool's Day 2009, with the group being chosen for Eurovision in January 2010.
