Peter Bjorn And John

Stockholm trio Peter Bjorn And John formed in 1999 and had their first release, the Forbidden Chords EP, in 2001. This was followed up by their self-titled debut album in November 2002, their 100 M of Hurdles EP, and a split with the British group Spearmint, the latter both in April and November 2003 respectively. Their final proper EP, Beats Traps And Backgrounds, was released in 2004, and was followed by their last release on a Swedish label, the album Falling Out in October, before signing to Wichita prior to their third album. Their Wichita debut was also their best known track: June 2006's Young Folks, featuring The Concretes' Victoria Bergsman on join vocals with Peter. This track became known worldwide, and hit #13 in the UK charts. The album, Writer's Block, was released in August. Let's Call It Off was the one of two other singles from the album for the threesome, released in October; Objects Of My Affection in April 2007 was the other. The group's fourth album, September 2008's Seaside Rock, is a heavily underrated experimental affair, which is mainly instrumental and was originally only released as a limited vinyl, but was issued in CD format with limited editions of the release of their fifth album, 30th March 2009's Living Thing, which was preceded by the single Nothing To Worry About a week before. The alternate Young Folks video is below, with the downloads afterwards.
